The newly released Duel Monsters VR fan project is attempting to put players into the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! with an online multiplayer PvP card dueling game that was made famous by the manga and anime.

Players can access the game on the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows VR headsets but you cannot purchase the game on Steam or the Oculus Store. It can only be downloaded via the game’s Discord.

The game is free and fan made and has no connection to Konami or the series creator Kazuki Takahashi. Right now the game is tentatively named Yu-Gi-Oh! VR.

Developer Sloth Paradise said:

“You get to duel on a Kaiba Corp blimp. You can use Yugi’s and Joey’s decks from Battle City; duel against your opponent just as you would in the show.”

There is also a website available where you can track player stats and find other players to play against. The game was launched last week and does support multiplayer, perfect for friends who want to duel each other.

Since this is fan made that does have some copyright infringements, who knows how long it will actually last. If it seems like a game you would like to play you should probably jump on it now.
