HTC will begin to sell its standalone business-use Vive Focus VR headsets in the Taiwan market at the end of October, priced at NT$23,900 (US$733) aiming to ramp up its revenues for the fourth quarter of 2018.
Initially, the Vive Focus will target the automotive and VR entertainment segments. HTC will demonstrate the Vive Focus at the Viveland VR theme park set up in the Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei on October 20-21, according to company sources.
The company will also promote the standalone VR headset coming with K12 educational VR content to the education sector, said the sources.
The Vive Focus is currently the top-selling model for the standalone VR headsets in the China market, and the company also plans to promote this model in other markets, added the sources.
