Unlike its existing Gear VR headsets, which rely on smartphones to work, the new high-end models in development will be self-contained devices with their own displays and processors, targeting pro gamers and content creators.
In a press release today, company Visual Camp announced that its eye-tracking technology for virtual reality would be used with Samsung’s upcoming Exynos VR head-mounted display (HMD), revealing some other details about the Korean company’s “all-in-one” model. It’s unknown, however, if the Exynos VR III will ever come market considering this appears to be the third prototype version of the device. With it, these headsets are able to offer high resolution imagery by tracking where the user is looking and selectively sharpening that particular part of the image, reducing the resolution in other peripheral areas.
Terry Francona taken for further tests, to miss game vs. Padres
He led Cleveland to the World Series previous year and has his team atop the American League Central in 2017 with a 44-37 mark. Antonetti didn’t know if Francona would spend the night at the hospital or when he would resume his managerial duties.
While it’s likely a long way off from a commercial release, those interested can also expect to find 10nm SoC paired with Mali G71 graphics, likely Samsung’s homegrown Exynos 9 series processor.
Additionally, the unreleased VR headset reportedly supports hand tracking, voice recognition and facial recognition. The question is when will it arrive and how much will Samsung ask for it?
Young moose chases golfer across links as friends laugh at hilarious scene
The scene unfolded at the Karlstad Golf Club in Karlstad, Sweden, when the young moose got a little too close for comfort. But it nearly looks like the energetic moose wanted to play around. “He followed me the whole time”.
All-in-one VR headsets are set to become a reality by the end of the year, and Samsung has finally revealed its take on the concept. Just as Google is said to be working on creating a standalone VR headset that is less bulky and cumbersome than its current prototype, Samsung will no doubt further refine the Exynos VR’s design and specs to bring us something more, well, usable.
