Prison Boss VR is an awesome prison-themed crafting and trading game that was originally launched on Steam for HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift back in August. Luckily for fans of the PSVR, this unique and fun game was recently released on Playstation and now players can trade with their fellow inmates and bake cookies all they want in the VR world.

Prison Boss VR turns the room you are in into your own bared jail cell, complete with a toilet, sink, and cupboard that is perfect for hiding all your prison contraband. You can collect stacks of money and hide it throughout your cell in hopes to enlarge your reputation. Players can make cookies, craft cigarettes, and make alcohol to sell through the prison so they can eventually become Prison Boss.

While playing the game make sure you are constantly watching your back since the egg-shaped guards are always on patrol and at the ready to bust you and take all your earnings. Crafting at night and trading during the day is the best game plan to have if you don’t want to get caught by a guard. The goal of the game is to keep your head low and build your reputation, allowing you to unlock new crafting items and furniture and eventually even become the prison boss. Furniture is essential in this game since it is the area where you can hide all your craft projects and make it throughout the night without being caught by a humpty-dumpty guard.

Players are even able to take on jobs which will help them unlock different possibilities in the game and grow their reputations. Reputation is big in this game. One of the major things in this game is being able to find a nice balance between crafting for jobs and trading for money, since you want to progress while earning enough cash to acquire new tools and improve your jail cell. You can even try out your materials in an Arcade mode where everything is unlocked, and you must beat the clock to craft the most items you can.

The game was developed by Montreal-based indie studio Trebuchet and currently is sitting at an 89% rating on Steam, giving it a very positive review for ratings.

Prison Boss VR is now available on the Playstation Store for $19.99. Have you played Prison Boss VR before? What are your thoughts on this unique crafting and trading game?
