We are only days away from one of the largest tech events in the world, CES, and among the announcements something interesting has happened on Twitter. The CEO of Slightly Mad Studios and the creator of Project CARS, has joined the social media giant to announce The Mad Box is coming.

In a second tweet Bell talks about what Mad Box is and the possibilities of when we can expect it.

“What is the Mad Box? It’s the most powerful console ever built…It’s literally ‘Mad’…You want 4k, you want VR at 60FPS? You want a full engine for free to develop your games on it? You have it.”

After responding to some trolls on the tweet, Bell added that they weren’t messing around about the new console and it was beyond next gen. Bell is trying to raise the bar when it comes to consoles and gaming, even adding that it has taken too long to have subtle iterations.

Slightly Mad Studios’ has created two VR-supported games in the past, Project CARS and Project CARS 2, and they are already well prepared for developing immersive gaming.

Some Twitter users are speculating that the account could be fake and someone attempting to impersonate Bell but we find that hard to believe especially since Slightly Mad Studios’ Twitter account retweeted the post.

At this point this new next gen console could be a weird joke but I guess we will have to wait until CES or later into 2019 to see if Bell is really telling the truth or just pulling our leg.
