What upcoming PSVR games are releasing in 2019? Sony delivered an incredible lineup of PlayStation VR software in 2019, with titles like Astro Bot Rescue Mission being genuine Game of the Year candidates. But with the accessory more affordable than ever and an ever-expanding catalogue of must-play titles, we’ve compiled a list of forthcoming PlayStation VR releases that need to be on your radar.
Publisher: Bandai Namco / Developer: Project Aces
Not fully playable with PlayStation VR, but boasting a three-hour sub-campaign designed specifically for Sony’s headset, Bandai Namco’s melodramatic military franchise promises to be the perfect fit for virtual reality, with its high-stakes dogfights and over-the-top action. Do a barrel roll (without chundering)!
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: SCE London Studio
The London Heist was easily the best thing about launch title PlayStation VR Worlds, so we’re incredibly excited to see it get a huge follow-up in the form of its very own game. This cockney-driven espionage looks to mix stealth, frantic gun battles, and a bucket full of attitude into a concoction that could be one of PSVR’s greatest. It’s Danny Dyer meets James Bond, and if that doesn’t get you more excited than an EastEnders Christmas Special then we don’t know what to tell you.
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Media Molecule
It was up in the air for a short time, but Media Molecule recently pledged to support Sony’s virtual reality headset at launch. And what could possibly be more exciting than putting the power of the peripheral in the hands of fans? Titles like Tilt Brush have already proven the potential of VR painting, but Dreams promises to elevate all of those possibilities to a new level.
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment / Developer: Clap Hanz
Everybody’s Golf is one of Sony’s longest running franchises, and it also happens to be a perfect fit for PSVR. Developed by series creator Clap Hanz in collaboration with Japan Studio, this adaptation of the popular arcade sporting series promises to transpose the franchise’s familiar thrills and spills to a virtual reality backdrop. You’ll be teeing off in 360-degrees across a variety of colourful courses, with both PS Move and DualShock 4 support on offer.
